DUNNVILLE – Having a career doing what you love is priceless. This is what Rob Lamothe and his two sons Josh and Zander said about their musical professions.
Originally from Los Angeles, CA, the Lamothes have always been captivated by music. Rob grew up with music, as his father was a singer.
Rob has performed with renowned artists such as Guns n’ Roses and Cheap Trick. When Rob toured with his band, he often brought his two boys along so it’s no surprise that at the age of fourteen the boys started playing in bands of their own.
Rob now enjoys singing, playing guitar, and producing among other talents. He is currently opening a producing studio of his own in Dunnville.
Josh enjoys singing, playing guitar, playing piano, and writing songs. He has recently made a music video for one of his songs that he will be releasing this summer.
Zander, a talented drummer, was named Hamilton’s “Drummer of the Year” in 2012. Zander has been in many bands and toured the U.S. and Europe multiple times. He has even opened for artists as celebrated as Bon Jovi. Zander is now with Hamilton-based band, The Zilis.
Rob, Josh and Zander recently formed The Josh Lamothe Band and say they bring listeners a pop/rock sound that resembles Bon Jovi, U2 & Coldplay. The trio, who often practice in their home-studio, is excited to be collaborating as a family and is planning to release a record.
The Josh Lamothe Band will be taking the stage at the Dunnville Mudcat Festival on Thursday, June 11th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. For more information on Rob, Josh or Zander Lamothe’s music, visit www.roblamothe.com, www.zanderlamothe.com, or www.thezilis.com.
